There’s no better way to enjoy Wollongong’s beautiful beach and mountain views than on your bike. By using pedal power, you can explore more than 42 kilometres of shared pathways from Sandon Point to City Beach, and as far south as Lake Illawarra. Wollongong truly is a location for all bike riders no matter your experience or age.

Alex Meyland joins Ride Nation after completing a double degree in Sports Management and Business Management at Federation University in Ballarat in addition to working with Cycling Victoria managing sport product and event activations. Originally from Wangaratta Victoria, Alex has been involved in cycling for as long as he can remember.
He was a State Representative in Road and Track disciplines as a junior before turning his attention to the highest international levels of Mountain Biking and later to Cyclo-cross where some of his fondest memories arose from.
Alex is a passionate advocate for developing young people in bike riding, as well as cycling for tourism, transport and fun outcomes, which makes him a perfect Coordinator for the Wollongong area
